GOLDEN FRUIT
A new musical based on the children’s tale The Pied Piper of Hamelin
By Carlton Leake
In a little village on the east side of the great mountain lies a land once known as The Land of Golden Fruit. It was here that the world’s finest fruit was produced. This village was also the dwelling place of a people rooted in the principles and values of peace, love, and family traditions. As time passed, these people neglected their moral compass and lost their way. Now, they are breaking ground for a new world class resort, and as farmers continue to sell their land, corruption and greed become the invisible drivers piloting this new way of life. Corruption has nurtured deception and caused great division--that is, until a traveler appears with the mastery to provoke change and reestablish truth and reality through the power of his music.
GOLDEN FRUIT, starring T. C. Carson as Piper and directed and choreographed by Patdro Harris, is the story of how one man changes the hearts and minds of a community that ignored their most valuable commodity, their children.
“Children are the seeds of the future. Let us plant them well.” (Carlton Leake)
